Information You Send
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that supplies the result flow. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. When you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Routine hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of access. We review that information in aggregate for service operation and page-use patterns. Basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement can rely on cookies or similar tools.
What We Do With This Data
We use this limited information to operate the service, address technical issues, measure traffic, and improve the reference material. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
Links can lead to Cuyahoga County and Ohio portals, libraries, archives, and outside search providers. Any information sent on those services is governed by their terms and privacy rules, including the provider behind sponsored search results.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support vendors process server-log information on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners can receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and operational logs are retained only for the purposes described here. Because this service has no user accounts, it does not hold a visitor password or account profile.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to people under 18. We do not knowingly gather information from a minor. If a minor has sent information to us, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Data Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, or deletion of personal information a service holds. Because we retain very little, a request normally involves checking our contact mailbox and server logs, then removing responsive information where appropriate. Use the Contact page to ask. Records held by Ohio, Cuyahoga County, or Mayfield Heights public offices are outside our control. Requests about those records belong with the custodian, subject to the Ohio Public Records Act, ORC 149.43, and any applicable exemption.
Updates to This Policy
Changes will appear on this policy page. Continued use after a posted revision indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
